The Reformed Catholic Church a growing Denomination. The current structure is based on the traditional structure of the Catholic Church. As such, we have two basic lines of jurisdiction: Religious and Diocesan. The only real difference between the two is that of jurisdiction. The diocesan line is based on a geographical boundary. All those parishes, missions and special ministries that physically lie within that geographical area is under the authority of the diocesan bishop. These bishops are sometimes called "vicariate bishops" or "jurisdictional bishops." The only exception to this is those who are under vows within an organized and recognized religious order. Examples of these are the Franciscans, Dominicans, Benedictines, and the Jesuits. (There are many other orders which are valid. These are simply examples.) Women and men who are under vows do not fall under the jurisdictional authority of the diocesan bishop. Rather, they fall under the authority of their communities leadership.
